Nothing here is advice
General information about structuring and governance, written for founders. It is not legal, tax or financial advice, and it does not take your circumstances into account.
Everything on this site (the solution pages, the Insights, the descriptions of how structures work) is written to help a founder understand a subject well enough to ask better questions. It is general, it is written without knowing anything about you, and structuring decisions turn almost entirely on facts we do not have. Do not act on something you read here without advice on your own circumstances.
Reading this site does not engage us
No client relationship, engagement or mandate comes into existence because you read this site, submit the enquiry form, or have a first conversation with us. We are engaged when both of us sign something that says so and sets out the scope and the fee, and not before.
Accuracy, and things that go out of date
We take reasonable care that what is published here is accurate when published. Tax law, exchange control, B-BBEE codes and the rules of the jurisdictions we work in all change, and a page written accurately can become wrong without anybody touching it. We do not undertake to keep every page current, and we may change or remove anything here without notice.
Where a figure describing our own work appears on this site, it describes past activity. Past performance is not a guide to future results, and no outcome described anywhere here is a promise of a similar outcome for you.
What you may do with the content
The text, images, diagrams and the Ingenious Group name and marks on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You are welcome to read it, print it, and quote from it with attribution, that is what it is for. You may not republish it wholesale, present it as your own, or use our name or marks in a way that suggests a relationship that does not exist.
Links to other sites
Where we link somewhere else, it is because we thought it was worth reading. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
Availability
We do not promise the site will always be available or always be free of faults. If you need to reach us and the site is not working, the telephone number above still is.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing here affects any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 that cannot be excluded.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
